Anyway, without further ado, on to the news!

New Products

As always, we are on the hunt for new delicious British Products to be able to provide you, our wonderful customers, with the widest selection possible. Over the past month, we have sniffed out a couple of great new products for your enjoyment.

Sussex Beef Bresaola

John & Jose of Moons Green Charcuterie produce some of our favourite products such as the King of all charcuterie snacks, the Beerstick (if you haven’t had one of these beauties with a nice cold beer or glass of your favourite wine, what are you waiting for!). Never ones to disappoint, they’ve produced an absolute stunner of a Bresaola. Made with Old Fashioned ‘Pope’s eye’ or Silverside of Sussex Limousine Cattle & cured with a great blend of spices, it is dried & aged for 2-3 months and the result is a seriously rich & intense flavoured Bresaola with hints of juniper. Fantastic on any deli board or great addition to a salad with shavings of Twineham Grange

Fruit Pig Black Pudding

We are delighted to have welcomed back Black Pudding from The Fruit Pig Company, without a doubt the best Black Pudding we’ve tasted. Unlike much of the black pudding on the market today, this is made with fresh blood. The fresh blood is mixed with oats, pearl barley, onion, fat, sultanas & spices and the difference in flavour to its dried blood counterparts is obvious. It has a rich and creamy texture with deep, lasting flavours. Trust us once you’ve had a taste of this you won’t go back!

We have so fantastic new cheeses on their way in soon, more on that next month.

Flavours of the Month

Here’s our top British Products for April

Simply one of the best British goats cheese available made by talented cheesemaker Charlie Westhead in Herefordshire. Made to a traditional French Recipe, Dorstone has a creamy mousse like texture when young that becomes firmer as the cheese matures, the flavour is citrusy and herbal with a satisfying lactic tang.

Beals Farm Mangalitza Coppa

An award winning Ham made from rare Mangalitza pigs. Whole marbled neck muscle is cured with cinnamon and cloves to produce this melt in the mouth Ham from Phil and Melissa at Beale’s farm in Chailey, Sussex

The Mount Vineyard Rose Key

A relatively new vineyard on the English wine scene, The Mount Vineyard located in Shoreham Kent, are already producing some exceptional wines. Their luscious Rose Key is a truly stunning Rose which has even turned the heads of those who have never been great lovers of a glass of the pink stuff. The nose is delicate & floral with the smells of summer. On the palette, there are wonderful fruity notes balanced by a crisp, clean acidity combing to produce a well-rounded, versatile rose that pairs equally as well with food as it is enjoyed on its own on a sunny spring afternoon.

And Finally…….

We have been busy launching our wholesale offering to share the British Cheese & Charcuterie love with as many people as possible. We’ve made our whole range available to trade customers so if you or someone you know owns a Bar, Restaurant, or anything in between then be sure to get in touch to see what we can do for you.

We have some more exciting plans in the pipeline so keep those eyes peeled!

Until Next Month,

Jack, Phil & The Team
